This woman’s 27 years old, just had her second baby from her american husband. She was raised a catholic by her mother although her father was muslim. To sudanese law, Meriam MUST be a muslim. She was arrested, charged with apostasy because Sudan doesn’t recognize her claim to be a christian and adultery because Sudan doesn’t recognize her christian marriage. She received 100 lashes for the adultery charges and senteced to death for the apostasy.
This is religious extremism and, I’d say, crazy fanatism. Her story more in dept HERE.
Amnesty International set up a petition to save her. You can sign it at THIS page.
Please sign and share as much as you can.
